Job summary

Nityo Infotech Services Philippines Inc. is seeking an experienced QA Engineer with 7+ years of hands-on software quality assurance across functional, regression, integration and exploratory testing to join our Manila team.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of solid hands-on software QA experience across functional, system testing, regression, integration, exploratory testing, UAT support, or comparable QA work.
• 8–10+ years preferred for senior ownership rather than tenure alone.
• At least 3 years of substantial hands-on test automation experience, with 4–5+ years strongly preferred.
• Experience establishing or materially designing an automation framework.
• Senior-level manual QA capability including requirements analysis, risk-based test design, negative testing, exploratory testing, defect analysis, regression strategy, and test judgment.
• Hands-on capability in Playwright and Katalon; proficiency in at least one and working knowledge of the other.
• Proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript, Groovy/Java, or equivalent scripting.
• Knowledge of Git or equivalent source control and CI/CD for automated test execution.
• Experience with API testing and validation using Postman, Playwright/API, Katalon, or equivalent tools.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, defect lifecycle, test levels, release readiness, and test evidence.
• Ability to work independently and explain automation decisions to non-automation stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with collaboration across multiple teams.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of solid hands-on software QA experience across functional/system testing, regression, integration, exploratory testing, UAT support, or comparable QA work.

• Preferred overall experience of 8–10+ years, provided the experience demonstrates genuine senior-level ownership rather than tenure alone.

• At least 3 years of substantial hands-on test automation experience is required, with 4–5+ years strongly preferred.

• Demonstrated experience in personally establishing, co-establishing, or materially designing an automation framework. Experience limited primarily to executing or adding scripts within a framework built by others is not sufficient.

• Strong senior-level manual QA capability, including requirements analysis, risk-based test design, negative testing, exploratory testing, defect analysis, regression strategy, and independent test judgment.

• Hands-on capability in both Playwright and Katalon is required:

  • Strong proficiency in at least one of the two.

  • Demonstrable working experience in the other.

  • Ability to evaluate, review, maintain, and extend automation implemented using either tool.

• Working programming/scripting proficiency appropriate to automation work, such as TypeScript/JavaScript, Groovy/Java, or equivalent.

• Working knowledge of Git or equivalent source control and fundamentals of CI/CD integration for automated test execution.

• Experience with API testing and validation using Postman, Playwright/API capabilities, Katalon, or equivalent tools.

• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, defect lifecycle, test levels, regression strategy, release readiness, and test evidence.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and explain technical automation decisions in practical terms to non-automation stakeholders.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with Business Analysts, Developers, Project Managers, Business Users, Infrastructure/DevOps teams, and vendors.
