Job summary

Vena Energy Services (Australia) Pty Ltd is seeking a senior wind farm project manager to drive initiatives from tendering through to project closeout. The role requires coordinating multi-disciplinary teams and managing interfaces with contractors and stakeholders across cultures.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in onshore wind project management, deep wind technology knowledge, and proven leadership in complex projects with strict timelines and budgets.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of experience in onshore wind farm project management.
• Strong understanding of wind technology, turbine systems, grid connection, and operations.
• Experience leading and motivating cross-functional teams.
• Ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders across cultures.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies.
• Fluent English required.

Responsibilities

• Initiating: participate in tendering/contracting and designate OE.
• Planning: ensure Vena's interests are met in TSA and BOP activity planning.
• Executing: ensure projects are implemented per Vena requirements; lead the project team through changes.
• Monitoring and Controlling: track progress, manage budget, hit key milestones, compare performance to plan.
• Closing: coordinate with Contractors to complete delivery, review third-party work, archive project files.

Job description

In particular, the successful candidate will discharge the following responsibilities:

• Initiating - participate in the tendering / contracting process of the project and the designation of OE.
• Planning - secure Vena's interests are satisfied in the planning of activities for TSA and BOP works.
• Executing - secure that projects are implementing as per Vena's requirements, facilitate issue resolution, lead the project team including OE through project changes.
• Monitoring and Controlling - monitoring the progress of the project, managing the project's budget, ensuring that key milestones are reached, compare actual performance against planned/scheduled performance.
• Closing - work with Contractors to secure and document that the project delivery is complete, review the work of third-party vendors or partners to close their contracts, archive project files for future reference and use.

Pre-requisites:

• Multi-disciplined, seasoned professional with at least 10 years experience in onshore wind farm project management
• Strong understanding of wind technology, turbine systems, grid connection, and operations
• Experience managing and motivating cross functional teams
• Strong cultural sensitivity and ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies
• Fluency in English
