Job summary

Vena Energy Services (Australia) Pty Ltd seeks an experienced wind project manager to lead onshore wind farm execution at site, ensuring alignment with scope, budget, schedule, HSSE and quality standards. You will review contractor documents and provide engineering support through design, construction and commissioning.

The role requires strong leadership of cross-functional teams, rigorous risk management, and compliance with environmental permits and regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in onshore wind farm project management.
• Strong understanding of wind technology, turbine systems, grid connection and operations.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and coordinating across disciplines.
• Fluency in English and ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Represent the company at site and lead full execution of the wind project within scope, budget, schedule, HSSE and quality expectations.
• Review contractor technical documents for completeness, compliance, and regulatory adherence.
• Provide technical and engineering support through design, construction, installation and commissioning.
• Review drawings, docs, method statements and test procedures; participate in design reviews with contractors.
• Lead development and maintenance of the detailed project schedule across civil works, WTG installation, electrical systems and balance of plant activities.
• Oversee execution of all contracts (OE, EPC, BoP, WTG suppliers, logistics, subcontractors).
• Coordinate with internal teams for alignment across project phases and mitigate risks with proactive strategies.
• Ensure compliance with environmental permits, regulations, and HSSE standards during site activities.
• Manage interfaces between BoP contractors, WTG suppliers, logistics, OE, and operations.
• Implement QA/QC plans and ITPs across all fronts; maintain project documentation.

Job description

• Represent the company at site and lead the full execution of the wind project in alignment with scope, budget, schedule, HSSE and quality expectations.
• Review and comment on contractor technical documents to ensure completeness, contractual compliance, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical and engineering support throughout design, construction, installation, and commissioning.
• Review technical drawings, engineering documentation, method statements, and performance test procedures; participate in design review meetings with contractors.
• Participate in tendering and contracting processes, including evaluation of proposals and involvement in appointing the Owner's Engineer (OE).
• Lead the development and maintenance of the detailed project schedule across civil works, WTG installation, electrical systems, and balance of plant activities. ‑of‑plant activities.
• Oversee the execution of all project contracts, including OE, EPC, BoP, WTG suppliers, logistics, and subcontractors.
• Coordinate with internal development, Land Acquisition, Admin, Technical, HSSE, and operations teams for alignment across project phases.
• Identify and mitigate construction, technical, commercial, and HSSE risks through proactive risk management strategies.
• Ensure full compliance with environmental permits, statutory regulations, and company HSSE standards during all site activities.
• Manage all technical and operational interfaces between BoP contractors, WTG suppliers, logistics providers, OE, and the operations team.
• Implement and oversee quality management plans, inspection test plans (ITPs), and QA/QC procedures across all work fronts.
• Maintain complete project documentation including reports, meeting minutes, progress updates, technical logs, and risk registers.
• Ensure project implementation aligns with company requirements; lead issue resolution and manage changes in coordination with OE and contractors.
• Monitor and control project performance by tracking schedule, cost, progress, and milestones, and implementing corrective actions where deviations occur.
• Lead contract close‑out activities with contractors, ensuring completion of deliverables, punch lists, inspections, and documentation.
• Manage the project handover process to Operations, ensuring readiness, successful commissioning, and effective knowledge transfer.
• Archive all project files and records for future operational, commercial, and audit needs.

Prerequisites:

• Multi disciplined season professional with at least 10 years experience in onshore wind farm project management
• Strong understanding of wind technology, turbine systems, grid connection, and operations
• Experience managing and motivating cross functional teams
• Strong cultural sensitivity and ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies
• Fluency in English
