A Senior Project Manager in the solar industry leads the end-to-end execution of large-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) and battery storage projects. They oversee the full lifecycle from planning, procurement, and construction through to commissioning and grid interconnection, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to safety standards.

We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Solar Project Manager to lead the development and construction of our utility-scale and commercial solar and battery storage projects. You will be the primary liaison between executive leadership, engineering teams, construction crews, and key external stakeholders, ensuring optimal project delivery from Notice to Proceed (NTP) through to Commercial Operation Date (COD).

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End Project Execution: Lead the full project lifecycle, including pre-construction planning, site mobilization, structural/electrical installation, testing, commissioning, and handover.
• Budget & Schedule Management: Develop and control project master schedules, cash flow projections, and resource allocation to ensure strict adherence to budget and contractual obligations.
• Technical & Engineering Oversight: Review electrical designs, technical drawings, and grid interconnection requirements. Ensure compliance with local electrical codes and renewable energy regulations.
• Stakeholder Management: Coordinate with utility companies (e.g., MERALCO, NGCP), government regulatory bodies (e.g., DOE, ERC), clients, and subcontractors.
• Risk & Contract Management: Manage EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) contracts, mitigate risks, analyze delays, and handle variation orders or claims.
• Team Leadership & Safety: Lead and mentor project engineers and site personnel. Enforce strict Occupational Health, Safety (HSE), and Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or Renewable Energy. A Licensed Professional Electrical Engineer (PEE) is a distinct advantage.
• Experience: (8+) years of project management experience with a minimum of (5) years specifically leading utility-scale or commercial solar PV projects.
• Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of solar PV technology, Balance of System (BOS) components, inverters, and battery energy storage systems (BESS).
• Software Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of scheduling and project management tools such as MS Project or Primavera.
• Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly preferred.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills. Ability to manage complex situations and work in both office and field environments.
