Job summary

TrustDecision is seeking an experienced Implementation Project Manager to lead customer delivery teams and drive end-to-end projects for bank customers. The role covers SaaS or on-premises risk systems, with on-site and remote team management to meet scope, budget, and timelines.

The ideal candidate has extensive banking risk project experience, strong stakeholder skills, and fluency in English. Mandarin or other local languages are a plus, and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience implementing financial risk systems for banks, or 8+ years in IT project management.
• Proven track record delivering SaaS or on-premises platforms to production.
• Ability to lead customer-facing implementations with cross-functional teams on site or remotely.
• Fluent English (spoken and written).
• Mandarin fluency and/or local language skills (advantageous).

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver the full project lifecycle for bank customers: initiation, requirements, delivery, integration, UAT, go-live, handover.
• Act as SPOC between client, Product, Engineering, QA, Support and vendors.
• Develop and maintain project plans, milestones, and delivery artifacts.
• Identify, track, and mitigate risks; manage change requests with impact analysis.
• Oversee testing, performance validation, security checks, and UAT acceptance.
• Lead and mentor the implementation team; ensure knowledge transfer and documentation.
• Coordinate with compliance, audit and security stakeholders for evidence and remediation.
• Drive continuous improvement by refining playbooks, templates, checklists, and best practices.

We are a China-based provider of financial risk-control software expanding into the Southeast Asian banking market.

About the Role

We are hiring an experienced Implementation Project Manager to lead customer-side delivery teams and drive end-to-end project execution for bank customers. The successful candidate will be able to step in immediately, manage on-site and remote teams, and deliver SaaS or on-premises risk systems to production on time, on scope and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver the full project lifecycle for bank customers: project initiation, requirements, solution delivery, integration, UAT, go-live and handover to operations.
• Act as the single point of contact (SPOC) between the client and internal teams (Product, Engineering, QA, Support) and third-party vendors.
• Develop and maintain project plans, milestones, RACI matrices and delivery artifacts; coordinate internal and external resources to meet commitments.
• Identify, track and mitigate project risks and issues; manage change requests with clear impact analysis and stakeholder approvals.
• Ensure delivery quality by overseeing integration testing, performance validation, security checks and UAT; enforce acceptance criteria.
• Lead and mentor the implementation team (internal and local contractors/consultants); ensure knowledge transfer and documentation for smooth operational handover.
• Coordinate with compliance, audit and security stakeholders to provide evidence and remediation where required.
• Drive continuous improvement: capture lessons learned, refine implementation playbooks, templates, checklists and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Finance or related discipline.
• 5+ years’ experience implementing financial risk systems for banks, or 8+ years in IT project management.
• Proven track record delivering SaaS or on-premises platforms to production.
• Able to lead customer-facing implementations and manage cross-functional teams on site or remotely.
• Fluent English (spoken and written).
• Mandarin fluency and/or local language skills (Malay, Indonesian, Thai, Vietnamese, Tagalog) are advantageous.
• Proficient with project tools: JIRA/Confluence, MS Project / Smartsheet, Excel/PowerPoint; familiar with Agile and Waterfall (hybrid) delivery models.
• Strong stakeholder management, negotiation and escalation skills; client-centric, high sense of ownership.
• Willingness to travel frequently and accept short-term or occasional long-term on-site assignments.

Required Skills

• Hands‑on experience with systems integration (APIs, ETL), data mapping and performance tuning for banking workloads.
• Knowledge of banking compliance & security standards (KYC, AML, PCI-DSS) and experience supporting audits/regulators.
• Professional certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, PMI-ACP or equivalent.
• Prior experience delivering projects in Southeast Asia or working in multinational / cross-cultural environments.
• Experience working with consultancy firms, managed service providers or local systems integrators.
