Job summary

Fredley Group of Companies is seeking a Lead Engineer – Project Management to oversee engineering and construction projects, including new store openings and major renovations. You will coordinate across Operations, Finance, Procurement, Marketing, and external contractors to deliver projects on time and within budget.

The role requires a Civil/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering background, with 5–8 years of project management experience in retail or food & beverage, and a preference for licensed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil/electrical/mechanical engineering or related field.
• Licensed engineer is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction management and regulatory compliance.
• Experience in retail or food & beverage industry is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project planning for store construction, fit-outs, renovations and technical upgrades.
• Review engineering plans, layouts, and specifications for compliance and quality.
• Source, evaluate and manage contractors and suppliers; negotiate terms.
• Monitor budgets, cost control, and billing; identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Coordinate with Operations, Finance, Procurement, Marketing, IT for smooth handovers and launches.
• Maintain project reports, timelines, and risk assessments; ensure documentation.
