Job summary

SPI Semicon Asoa, Inc. in Metro Manila is seeking an experienced manufacturing supervisor to lead extrusion operations across multiple shifts. You will drive production planning, KPI tracking, and cost control while ensuring safety and adherence to ISO quality standards.

The ideal candidate has deep hands-on knowledge of extrusion processes and a track record of operational improvement in a manufacturing environment.

Job description

Job Qualifications

1. 1. Bachelor’s degree preferred in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, Polymer, or Materials Engineering; or Manufacturing/Production Technology
2. 2. Equivalent combination of technical diploma + long relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree
3. 3. Professional license (e.g., PE/IE) is often a plus in the Philippines and similar markets
4. 4. Typically 5–10+ years total in extrusion/manufacturing; 3–5+ years in a supervisory or managerial role
5. 5. Deep hands‑on knowledge of extrusion processes — aluminum (billet, alloys, die practices) or plastics/compounding/PVC/film depending on industry
6. 6. Experience with press operations, tooling/dies, heating/cooling profiles, and downstream systems
7. 7. Multi-shift team leadership, production planning, KPIs, and cost control

Technical Knowledge

1. 1. Extrusion machinery, parameters, troubleshooting, and maintenance
2. 2. Materials science: alloys, polymers, additives, melt behavior, formulations
3. 3. Quality systems: ISO 9001, SPC, root‑cause analysis, CAPA, FMEA
4. 4. ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) /MES (Manufacturing Execution System), production reporting, OEE, scrap/recovery metrics
5. 5. Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, continuous improvement methodologies

Preferred Certifications

• Quality management systems (ISO, IATF 16949)
• Safety / OSHA / occupational health & safety training
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) or relevant industry licenses
