Job summary

Firefly Electric & Lighting Corporation is seeking a Senior Production Engineer (Plastics Extrusion) to lead troubleshooting, optimize extrusion processes, and mentor the engineering team in Calumpit, Bulacan, Philippines. This onsite, full-time role reports to the Production Manager and focuses on reducing scrap while improving yield and stability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred; Licensed Engineer is an advantage).
• 3+ years hands-on experience in plastics extrusion manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of extrusion line operations and troubleshooting.
• Leadership ability, systematic problem-solving, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Oversee wires extrusion efficiency and troubleshooting.
• Optimize equipment performance and monitor OEE and utilization.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement permanent countermeasures for issues.
• Lead and mentor production engineers and operators with hands-on guidance.
• Coordinate reporting and collaboration with Maintenance, QA, and suppliers.
