Job summary

Renesas is seeking a Senior Technical Contributor to lead packaging development for high power semiconductor products. You will work with design, assembly, test, reliability engineering, quality, sales, and suppliers worldwide to ensure robust, low-cost, mass‑produced packages.

Responsibilities include defining design rules, specs, BOMs, and qualification plans, plus leading DOE-driven process improvements and cross‑functional collaboration to meet automotive and industrial quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field is required.
• Extensive hands-on experience in semiconductor packaging technology.
• Experience with OSATs and supplier management is essential.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop advanced high power package technologies.
• Define package design rules, process flow and material sets.
• Analyze stress, thermal, and electrical performance for reliability.
• Define BOM, assembly processes and qualification per standards.
• Lead DOE studies to optimize processes and materials.
• Collaborate with design, assembly, reliability, and manufacturing teams.
• Drive reliability testing and qualification plans per JEDEC/IPC.
