Job summary

Cloudbeds is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own the POS product end-to-end. You will work on the React Native frontend, Python/FastAPI backend, Terraform infrastructure, and deployment tools.

You’ll deliver reliable, offline-capable POS experiences for hospitality properties, with a focus on usability, security, and scalability across properties and markets. The role involves hands-on development, architecture decisions, code reviews, and mentoring within a globally distributed team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience building and operating production applications.
• Strong proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript with mobile/frontend experience.
• Hands-on experience with React Native, Expo, PostgreSQL, and cloud-native delivery.
• Experience with Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, Argo CD, AWS, and CI/CD processes.
• Familiarity with payment processing or hospitality domain is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate customer-facing POS experiences across stack.
• Develop offline-first capabilities and reliable synchronization.
• Own APIs, data models, caching, and service integrations across the platform.
• Ensure observability, testing, and production incident response.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Payments, and Infrastructure teams.
