Job summary

GovTech in Singapore seeks a Principal Platform Infrastructure Engineer to lead the Operations Engineering Practice. You will drive standards, tooling, and capability development to improve reliability and operational maturity across the organization.

You will influence technical direction, lead strategic initiatives, and mentor engineers in areas such as incident management, observability, automation, and resiliency engineering; a senior role with significant cross-functional impact.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in infrastructure, platform engineering, site reliability engineering, or related disciplines.
• Deep expertise in at least one operational excellence domain such as Incident Management, Observability, Automation Engineering, Resiliency Engineering, AIOps, or Service Reliability Engineering.
• Experience designing and operating large-scale production systems.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms, automation, monitoring, and operational practices.
• Demonstrated ability to influence technical direction without formal authority.
• Experience leading organization-wide technical initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to build consensus across diverse engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and evolve the operations engineering practice across GovTech to improve reliability and operational maturity.
• Provide technical leadership, guidance, and reusable patterns for incident response and observability.
• Develop capability-building initiatives, training materials, and communities of practice.
• Partner with engineering teams to drive adoption of standards and measure impact.
