Job summary

MicroSourcing is hiring a Platform Engineer to own production AWS infrastructure, deployment automation, reliability, and secure, scalable operations for a healthcare technology platform. You will collaborate with the CTO to enhance ECS/Fargate, RDS, S3, and monitoring, while building robust CI/CD pipelines and IaC workflows.

Responsibilities include provisioning, troubleshooting, and automating deployments, improving observability, and ensuring least-privilege security across environments.

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on AWS production experience across compute, containers, networking, IAM, databases, queues, logging and managed services.
• Extensive Docker experience with production container deployments; hands-on with AWS ECS/Fargate.
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines (preferably GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on IaC with Terraform / AWS CDK / CloudFormation / Pulumi or equivalents.
• Strong Linux and shell scripting; Python for automation.
• Experience with production monitoring, logging, metrics, alerting and incident diagnostics.
• PostgreSQL production database operations: backups, restores, migrations, connections.
• AWS security fundamentals: IAM, secrets management, least privilege, secure credentials.
• Proficiency using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Codex) to accelerate infra engineering.
• Reliability mindset; automate manual tasks and improve system resilience.

Responsibilities

• Own cloud infrastructure and deployment automation to ensure reliability and stability.
• Strengthen AWS infrastructure with ECS/Fargate, RDS/PostgreSQL, S3, Secrets Manager, CloudWatch.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and safe release practices.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code across Terraform, CDK, CloudFormation or equivalents.
• Enhance monitoring, logging, dashboards, health checks and incident response.
• Apply least-privilege access, secure secrets management, and environment isolation.
• Troubleshoot production issues across cloud, containers, networks, databases and logs.
• Collaborate with engineers and QA; automate infrastructure setup and validation.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate productivity while validating all changes.
