Job summary

HRTx Inc. in Calamba, Laguna, Philippines, seeks an Engineering Manager to lead the plant's engineering function, ensuring reliability, safety, and continuous improvement across facilities, equipment, and utilities.

The role requires a hands-on leader with extensive manufacturing experience, capable of coordinating mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and maintenance activities while partnering with Production, Quality, EHS, and Supply Chain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering (ECE) with a professional license strongly preferred.
• 10–15 years of engineering experience, including 10 years in manufacturing/industrial plant environments and 5 years in leadership roles.
• Strong background in plant engineering and manufacturing operations, ideally in FMCG, pharma, or large-scale manufacturing.
• Experience managing the overall engineering function of a manufacturing plant, not just a single discipline.
• Exposure to multiple plants/facilities is highly preferred, with a focus on reliability and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the overall engineering function of the manufacturing plant to ensure reliable, safe, and uninterrupted operations.
• Oversee mechanical, electrical, HVAC, utilities, facilities, and equipment maintenance activities.
• Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs and reliability initiatives.
• Partner with Production, Quality, EHS, and Supply Chain to address operational needs and minimize downtime.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, EHS, ESG, safety, and quality requirements.
• Lead planning and execution of capital projects, equipment upgrades, and plant improvements.
• Monitor performance, identify risks, and drive corrective actions to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Drive continuous improvement, cost optimization, and energy efficiency across the plant.
• Lead and develop the engineering team and provide technical support to plant leadership.
