Job summary

SiGMA World is seeking an experienced Accountant for our Manila Finance team to manage day-to-day accounting, tax, and statutory compliance for our Philippine operations.

The role emphasizes accurate tax filings with the BIR, VAT, withholding taxes, payroll compliance, and maintaining complete financial records.

The successful candidate will work with the wider Finance team and external advisers to ensure timely filings and ongoing regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• CPA qualification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Philippine BIR regulations.
• Experience with VAT and withholding tax returns.
• Experience with payroll compliance.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of tax returns and BIR filings.
• Prepare VAT and BIR forms (e.g., 2550Q, 0619E).
• Manage payroll processing and statutory deductions.
• Maintain accounting records and close month-end.
• Coordinate with external advisers and auditors.
• Assist with audits and financial reporting.
