MedHealth Connect Outsourcing Inc. in Manila is seeking a Pharmacy Data Entry and Claims Specialist to accurately interpret prescription information, enter data into the pharmacy system, and adjudicate insurance claims.
The role requires keen attention to detail, strong English communication, and 2–4 years of solid BPO healthcare experience. Onsite work in Eastwood, Libis, Quezon City with a shifting schedule.
The Pharmacy Data Entry and Claims Specialist is responsible for accurately interpreting and processing prescription information, entering prescription data into the pharmacy filling system, and ensuring timely and accurate insurance claim adjudication. The role involves reviewing prescriptions, maintaining patient profiles, resolving prescription and insurance-related issues, and communicating with insurance carriers to verify eligibility and coverage.
The position requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of medical and pharmacy terminology, accuracy in data entry, and the ability to effectively troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Read, review, and accurately interpret prescription orders and medication information
Enter prescription and patient information into the electronic pharmacy filling system
Interpret common medical and pharmacy abbreviations and terminology
Review prescriptions for completeness and accuracy and identify missing or unclear information
Communicate with appropriate healthcare facilities or personnel to obtain missing prescription information
Process prescription claims and ensure accurate billing to third-party insurance payors
Review and resolve rejected or denied insurance claims
Verify patient insurance eligibility and coverage
Contact insurance carriers by phone to clarify benefits, resolve coverage issues, and obtain necessary information for claim processing
Support the onboarding of new healthcare facilities, including the creation and maintenance of patient profiles
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient and prescription records
Follow established pharmacy, billing, privacy, and data-entry procedures
Ensure all prescription and insurance information is processed accurately and within required turnaround times
Escalate complex prescription, insurance, or billing issues to the appropriate team or department
Maintain confidentiality of patient, prescription, and insurance information in accordance with company policies and applicable privacy regulations
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
STRONG ENGLISH COMMUNICATION IS REQUIRED
2 TO 4 YEARS OF SOLID BPO HEALTHCARE EXPERIENCE
Good understanding of pharmacy and medical terminology
Ability to interpret prescription instructions and medical abbreviations
Excellent computer and data-entry skills
Ability to work with pharmacy or healthcare information systems
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate professionally with insurance companies and healthcare personnel
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Previous experience in pharmacy, healthcare, medical billing, insurance claims, or data entry is an advantage.
Willing to work onsite in Eastwood, Libis, Quezon City and Shifting schedule
