Job summary

MicroSourcing is seeking a Senior Payroll Administrator to join our remote night‑shift team. You will run bi‑weekly, semi‑monthly and monthly payrolls using Workday and Deel, handle wages, bonuses, tax withholdings and deductions, audit timesheets, and ensure data integrity across systems.

The role requires 3–5 years of payroll experience (2+ years in Workday), multi‑state USA payroll expertise, and a Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance or HR. CPP/FPC certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional payroll administration experience, with Workday Payroll experience.
• Proven expertise managing multi-state USA payroll operations and tax compliance.
• Hands‑on proficiency in payroll accounting, Excel validation, data reporting, and reconciliations.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly payrolls using Workday and Deel.
• Calculate and process wages, bonuses, tax withholdings, garnishments, and deductions.
• Review and audit timesheets, attendance, and payroll entries for data integrity.
• Maintain and troubleshoot the Workday payroll module and coordinate testing with HR/IT.
• Ensure compliance with wage, hour, and tax regulations across jurisdictions.
• Resolve employee inquiries on pay, tax forms, benefits and deposits.
• Reconcile payroll journal entries; manage month-end, quarter-end, year-end closings including W-2s.
• Manage international EOR footprints and contractor payments via Deel.

Your Role

As a Senior Payroll Administrator, you will:

• Process bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly payrolls accurately using the Workday system and Deel global platform.
• Calculate and process wages, bonuses, tax withholdings, garnishments, and benefits deductions.
• Review, validate, and audit electronic timesheets, attendance records, and payroll entries for data integrity.
• Maintain, configure, and troubleshoot the Workday payroll module while coordinating system integration testing with HR and IT.
• Ensure full compliance with federal, state, local, and international wage, hour, and tax regulations.
• Address and resolve employee inquiries regarding pay discrepancies, tax forms, benefits, and direct deposits.
• Reconcile payroll journal entries and accounts, managing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings including W-2 filings.
• Manage international Employer of Record (EOR) footprints and contractor payment cycles through the Deel platform.

What You Need

Non-negotiables

• 3–5 years of professional payroll administration experience, with a minimum of 2 years specifically using Workday Payroll.
• Proven expertise managing complex multi-state USA payroll operations, garnishments, and multi-layered tax compliance.
• Hands‑on proficiency in payroll accounting, advanced spreadsheet validation (Excel), data reporting, and account reconciliation.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a closely related field (or equivalent corporate experience).

Preferred Skills / Expertise

• Direct experience processing global international payrolls using the Deel platform.
• Professional payroll accreditation such as a Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC).
• Practical understanding of Workday Benefits administration and configuration rules.
• Experience building customized Workday reporting, advanced data analytics, and integration touchpoints across time‑tracking systems.
• Background managing global independent contractors and EOR workforces within a unified compliance structure.
