Playtomic, the world’s leading racket sports app, seeks a Senior Backend Engineer for the Payments team in Madrid. You’ll develop scalable payments solutions and ensure secure, high-performance transactions across our platform.

You will integrate with gateways, design robust APIs, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and uphold code quality with reviews and best practices, while thriving in a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with payment gateway integrations and secure transaction processing.
• Proven backend engineer with API design and web stack experience.
• Experience with Spring Boot 3, Java 17, MongoDB and Kubernetes.
• Strong communication and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• Fluent English and degree in CS/Engineering.
• Willingness to travel to Madrid as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain APIs and services for payments integrations.
• Collaborate with product, frontend and other engineers to devise solutions.
• Integrate with third-party gateways and ensure secure processing.
