Job summary

San Miguel Foods is seeking a Packaging/Process Engineer in Pasig City to design and develop new processes and packaging concepts, translating ideas into viable prototypes and scalable production methods. The role focuses on improving product processes, selecting cost-effective packaging, coordinating with suppliers, and providing technical support during plant startups and troubleshooting.

Qualifications

Bachelor's / College Degree in Engineering (Packaging/Chemical), Food Technology or related technical fields.
At least 5 years of work experience and expertise in basic food manufacturing processes and packaging development.
Willing to be assigned in Pasig City office.

Responsibilities

Designs/develops new processes and packaging ideas and translates to viable prototypes.
Improves and simplify product processes and recommends least cost packaging materials as part of yield improvement, production efficiency and cost reduction program.
Evaluates and secures resources required to support the application of process, equipment and packaging through active interfacing with suppliers and technical partners.
Provides technical assistance during troubleshooting of process related problems, commissioning or fabrication of new equipment or implements, and handling of product complaints.
Establishes storage, handling and shelf-life guidelines of products.
