Job summary

Amentum seeks an HVAC Master Technician to support a US Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role involves inspecting, maintaining, testing and repairing large-scale HVAC and refrigeration systems, with supervision of junior technicians as needed.

The ideal candidate has at least five years of advanced HVAC experience, a recognized HVAC/RAC trade qualification, and the ability to travel internationally and meet mandatory medical and security requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of advanced HVAC and refrigeration maintenance, repair, or related work.
• Trade qualification in HVAC, refrigeration and air conditioning (HVAC/RAC) or equivalent.
• Current HVAC/refrigeration certifications incl. refrigerant handling where required.
• Ability to supervise less experienced trade personnel.
• Knowledge of large-scale HVAC systems and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair of chilled water and DX central air equipment.
• Inspect, test, diagnose and maintain HVAC systems, ensuring optimal operation.
• Provide technical direction to team members as needed.
• Ensure safe refrigerant handling and regulatory compliance.
• Assist with planning and scheduling maintenance activities.
