Job summary

Jobtailor in the Philippines seeks an experienced Oracle Developer to design and implement robust Oracle database solutions. You will craft data models, schemas, and database objects while engaging in the SDLC to deliver PL/SQL code, stored procedures, and packages.

You will optimize performance, ensure data integrity, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Oracle databases with various systems. Mentorship and lead project participation are expected traits.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of experience as an Oracle Developer with a track record of successful database projects.
• Strong Oracle Retail experience.
• Expertise in PL/SQL, SQL, and database design principles.
• Expertise in Oracle Forms and Oracle Reports.
• Experience with Oracle Database and DB2 technologies.
• Experience in APEX and Shell Scripts.
• Familiarity with Pro*C.
• Experience implementing DevOps for Database Deployment (CI/CD).
• Knowledge of Order Management System and related integrations.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Oracle database solutions including data models, schemas and database objects.
• Participate in SDLC: requirements gathering, development, testing and deployment of PL/SQL code, stored procedures, triggers and packages.
• Optimize database performance through tuning of SQL scripts, indexing and data structure improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Oracle databases with various systems and applications.
• Ensure data integrity and smooth information flow between systems.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers and conduct code/architecture reviews.
• Identify and resolve complex database issues, performance bottlenecks, and data inconsistencies.
• Create and maintain thorough documentation for database designs and processes.
• Lead projects and actively participate to ensure timely delivery, coordinating with delivery leads and stakeholders.
• Stay informed about industry trends and best practices for Oracle database development.
• Maintain a safe working environment for team members and contractors.
