Job summary

Avaloq Group is seeking a Senior Database Specialist for the APAC DBA Operations team. You will manage production and non-production Oracle databases, perform upgrades and migrations, and ensure high availability and security across the APAC region.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in Oracle DBAs or similar roles, strong RAC/Data Guard/Exadata skills, and experience with OCI/AWS workloads in mission-critical environments. Hybrid work options offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 5+ years as Oracle DBA, Database Specialist or Database Engineer.
• Strong expertise in RAC, Data Guard, ASM, RMAN, GoldenGate and Exadata.
• Experience supporting OCI and AWS database workloads.
• Experience with mission-critical environments and strict SLA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Adminsiter and support enterprise database platforms across prod and non-prod environments.
• Execute database installations, upgrades, migrations, patching, cloning and lifecycle activities.
• Ensure database availability, performance, security, and resilience.
• Perform backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and business continuity activities.
• Troubleshoot complex databases, infrastructure, and cloud-related issues.

You will join the APAC DBA Operations Team, part of Avaloq's global Data Platform organization. The teamis responsible forthe reliability, security,performance,and operational excellence of mission-critical database platforms supporting Avaloq banking services across the APAC region.

• Experience supporting OCI and AWS database workloads.
• Experience with mission-critical environments and strict SLA requirements.
