Job summary

Emerson Electric (Asia) Limited - ROHQ is seeking an Applications Developer to design, build, and maintain enterprise-grade training platforms. You will integrate Oracle APEX, Spring Boot and React to deliver scalable solutions for thousands of learners and administrators across Emerson's global network.

You will work across APIs, data services, and frontend UX, applying best practices in SDLC, code quality, and CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps, while collaborating with product owners and QA

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of software development experience across Oracle APEX, Java, and Oracle Database
• Proficiency in Oracle APEX design including interactive reports, forms, REST-enabled objects, authentication, and page-level logic
• Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot, REST API design, service-layer development, JPA/Hibernate, and Oracle DB integration
• Solid React development skills for learning platform components
• Hands-on PL/SQL development for data management and reporting
• Experience consuming and producing REST APIs and API auth patterns (OAuth2, JWT)
• Familiarity with learning management system APIs and e-learning content delivery

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Oracle APEX applications supporting Online Training Administration and related platforms
• Develop and maintain Spring Boot REST APIs integrating LMS, entitlement systems, and data consumers
• Create and maintain React front-end components for learning platform features
• Write and optimize PL/SQL code for training data management and reporting
• Apply SDLC to design, develop, test, and deploy solutions across the learning portfolio
• Troubleshoot production issues across Oracle APEX, Java, and React
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Analysts, QA, and stakeholders to translate requirements
• Create technical docs, API specs, and runbooks
• Participate in code reviews, agile ceremonies, and CI/CD with Azure DevOps
• Identify risks and take action to meet delivery timelines
