Job summary

Emerson in Mandaluyong City, Philippines, is seeking an Application Developer with strong Oracle APEX and Java expertise to build and maintain enterprise-grade learning and training applications for a global automation technology leader. You will work at the intersection of Oracle APEX, Spring Boot APIs, and React front-end development for learners and administrators across Emerson's network.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience with hands-on delivery across Oracle APEX, Java, and Oracle Database.
• Proven experience designing and building Oracle APEX applications—interactive reports, forms, REST-enabled objects, APEX authentication, and page-level logic.
• ORDS mandatory for exposing EBS data to external web applications and integrations.
• Java / Spring Boot (mandatory): proficiency in Spring Boot REST API design, service layer development, JPA/Hibernate, and Oracle DB backends.
• Oracle Database and PL/SQL: hands-on experience writing PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and complex queries.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Oracle APEX applications for Online Training Administration, Event Reports, and E-Learning API platforms.
• Develop and maintain Spring Boot REST APIs that integrate learning management platforms and entitlement systems.
• Create React front-end components for learning platform features with responsive, accessible UX for admins and learners.
• Write optimized PL/SQL code and queries for training data management and reporting.
• Apply SDLC principles to design, test, and deploy high-quality learning platform solutions.
• Troubleshoot production issues across Oracle APEX, Java, and React layers; improve reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Analysts, QA, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Create technical documentation, API specs, and runbooks for learning platform systems.
• Participate in code reviews, CI/CD practices using Azure DevOps.
