Job summary

Globe Telecom in the Philippines seeks a NodeJS Senior/Lead Software Development Engineer to shape the technical future of our platform. You will balance hands-on development with architectural decisions and mentor the team, operating in a hybrid setup with on-site and remote work flexibility.

You bring 6+ years of production experience, expert NodeJS skills, and strong cloud and system-design capabilities.

Qualifications

6+ years of professional software engineering experience, delivering large-scale, production-grade systems.
Proven leadership as a Senior Engineer guiding teams to ship high-impact software.
Expert-level mastery in NodeJS and ability to choose the right tool for the architecture.
Experience with cloud services, microservices and distributed systems.
Strong emphasis on code quality, security, and performance through peer reviews.

Responsibilities

Architect and scale high-performance distributed cloud applications that define core services.
Translate business requirements into scalable technical roadmaps with product leaders.
Set engineering standards for code quality, security, and performance.
Oversee CI/CD and cloud infrastructure to ensure automation, resilience and cost-optimization.
Drive containerization strategy with Docker and Kubernetes for global scale and mentor junior engineers.
