Job summary

Globe Telecom, Inc. is seeking a Senior/Lead Software Development Engineer to shape the technical future of our platform. You will balance hands-on development with high-level architectural decisions and mentorship to drive impact.

You will lead the design of high-performance distributed cloud applications, orchestrate CI/CD and cloud infrastructure, and champion code quality, security, and performance across the team.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering large-scale, production-grade systems.
• Expert-level mastery in Node.js, Java, or TypeScript with the ability to choose the right tool for the architectural challenge.
• Nice to have: Python cloud experience and deep understanding of cloud cost-performance trade-offs.
• System design expertise for microservices and distributed systems.
• Experience with observability and infrastructure as code (Terraform).
• Experience building internal developer platforms or tooling is a plus.
• Serverless architectures and DevSecOps practices are valued.

Responsibilities

• Architect and scale high-performance, distributed cloud applications that define core services.
• Lead design decisions and mentor engineers while partnering with product leaders.
• Set standards for code quality, security, and performance via peer reviews.

Nice to have: Python Cloud Authority: Deep, \"under-the-hood\" experience with AWS or Google Cloud. You dont just use cloud services; you understand their limitations and cost-performance trade-offs. System Design Expert: Youve successfully navigated the complexities of microservices, distributed systems, and data consistency at scale.

Operational Ownership: You have a \"you build it, you run it\" mentality, with deep experience in observability (Prometheus/Grafana) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
