Job summary

STAFFVIRTUAL in Cebu City is seeking a Tier 3 / Senior Systems Engineer to own complex issues, work with US/Canada clients, and escalate effectively. The role requires 5+ years in IT support or systems engineering, MSP experience, and independent troubleshooting across Microsoft 365, Entra ID, AD, Windows Server, Azure, and Intune.

You will work remotely on a night shift schedule, collaborating with a team lead and senior engineers to resolve escalations, document findings, and drive progress

Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT support or systems engineering experience.
• MSP or multi-client support experience.
• Proven experience independently owning and resolving Tier 2/Tier 3 escalations.
• Independent troubleshooting experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Active Directory, Windows Server, Azure, and Intune/endpoint management.
• Troubleshooting experience with DNS / DHCP, VPNs, Firewalls, Routing/switching, Authentication/permissions, and Network/connectivity issues.
• Strong understanding of identity, MFA, endpoint security, patching, and Microsoft security controls.
• Can review an environment or configuration and identify risks, gaps, or likely problems.
• Clear, fluent English.
• Strong listening comprehension at normal conversational speed.
• Understands US business language, phrasing, and communication style.
• Experience working directly with US or Canadian customers.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of escalations and drive toward resolution.
• Document troubleshooting steps, findings, changes, and resolution.
• Communicate tested approaches and needed next steps clearly.
• Work independently within a technical team without siloing.
• Collaborate with team leads and senior engineers.
• Help Tier 1/2 technicians improve and not just take over.
• Be accountable for mistakes and correct them.
• Raise questions before issues become larger problems.
