Job summary

Roblox is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to help build cutting‑edge systems powering AI at scale across Creator Services and ML Platform teams. You will design and maintain data pipelines, train novel architectures, and optimize real‑time inference for thousands of NPCs.

You will work with Kubernetes and major cloud providers, pursue PhD‑aligned research, and contribute to scalable AI tooling across Discovery, Safety, Engine and more.

Qualifications

• PhD aligned with Roblox’s research areas and experience building end-to-end ML pipelines.
• Experience managing model inference and deployment in real-world settings.
• Experience with real-world agentic applications and scalable architectures.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scale data pipelines for 3D game states and real-time actions.
• Train and optimize novel architectures for NPC models in a scalable way.
• Engineer high-performance real-time inference for numerous NPCs at scale.
• Collaborate on AI Platform projects to improve tooling and pipelines.
