Job summary

MCVO Talent Outsourcing Services seeks an experienced Medical Biller to manage end-to-end Revenue Cycle Management for multi-specialty practices, including family and internal medicine. You will handle verification, eligibility, authorizations, charge entry, claim submission, posting, AR follow-ups, denials, appeals, and patient collections.

The role requires strong CPT/ICD-10 coding, denial management, and deep familiarity with AVAIlity/EDI portals, plus experience with US payer types.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of hands-on experience in Revenue Cycle Management.
• Experience with multi-specialty billing, including Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, PCP and other specialties.
• Proven experience working with multiple EHR/EMR and PM systems.
• Strong proficiency with Availity and other payer/EDI portals.
• Solid understanding of CPT/ICD-10 coding, modifiers, medical necessity, denial management, appeals, AR and reporting.
• Experience with US payers (Commercial, Medicare, Medicaid).
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end billing lifecycle (verification, eligibility, authorizations, charge entry, claim submission, posting, AR follow-ups, denials, appeals, patient collections).
• Ensure timely claim submission per payer guidelines and filing limits.
• Review clinical documentation for coding accuracy and necessity across specialties.
• Apply CPT/ICD-10 codes and modifiers accurately for compliant reimbursement.
• Utilize EMR/EHR/PM systems (Practice Fusion, eCW, Athena, Simple Practice).
• Lead denial analysis, root-cause investigations, and timely appeals with documentation.
• Prepare, reconcile and distribute patient statements; monitor AR aging and cash flow.
• Coordinate with providers, payers, clearinghouses; handle payer inquiries and patient communications.
