Job summary

East West Banking Corporation (EastWest) invites an experienced Audit Section Head – Retail Banking Audit to join our Internal Audit Group in Davao. The hybrid role focuses on driving the execution of the bank's audit strategy and delivering risk-based coverage across retail banking operations and governance processes.

You will lead audits, oversee teams, and strengthen the bank's risk management and control framework while collaborating with stakeholders to implement practical, value-adding

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy required; CPA preferred.
• CPA certification is preferred; CIA/CISA/CFE or equivalent highly advantageous.
• At least 5 years of internal audit experience, preferably within banking or financial services.

Responsibilities

• Lead audit engagements and audit teams across Retail Banking Audits.
• Support the Department Head in developing the annual risk-based audit plan.
• Review findings, working papers and reports for quality and compliance.
• Develop practical recommendations to strengthen controls and mitigate risks.
• Collaborate with senior management, regulators, and external auditors to promote risk culture.
• Mentor and develop audit professionals within a high-performance team.
