East West Banking Corporation invites an experienced audit professional to join our Internal Audit Group in Davao as Audit Section Head – Retail Banking Audit. You will lead engagements, supervise audit teams, and help drive risk-based coverage across retail banking operations, governance, regulatory compliance, and control environments.

The role emphasizes collaboration with stakeholders, mentoring junior staff, and strengthening risk culture while supporting the Department Head in executing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy.
• CPA preferred; professional certifications such as CIA, CISA, CFE are advantageous.
• At least 5 years of internal audit or related banking experience.
• Strong knowledge of auditing procedures, risk management, and controls.
• Excellent analytical, writing, and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated leadership with supervision of audit staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead audit engagements for Retail Banking Audit and oversee audit teams.
• Support the Department Head in developing the annual risk-based audit plan.
• Review findings, working papers, and reports for quality and compliance.
• Develop practical recommendations to strengthen controls and mitigate risks.
• Partner with business units, regulators, and external auditors to promote risk culture.
• Mentor, coach, and develop audit professionals while fostering teamwork.
