Job summary

GCash in Manila, Philippines, is seeking an experienced Delivery Manager / Product Owner to lead technology delivery within the Technology & Operations team. You’ll own the vision for internal tools and pilot products, define backlogs, and ensure the team focuses on high-value work.

Lead cross-functional squads, evaluate emerging tech including AI, and guide governance, risk, and security considerations while driving agile delivery and talent development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years in project or product delivery with full lifecycle ownership.
• 2+ years in people leadership with direct reports.
• SDLC fluency with Agile/Scrum/SAFe or Hybrid approaches.
• Experience evaluating AI/ML/GenAI and governance practices.

Who you'll be working with:

If you have a strong background in IT, computer science, or software engineering, and are analytical, technologically savvy, solutions and process-focused, then the Technology & Operations team may be for you!

You will be responsible for the following:

• Delivery Management - Acting as the central point of contact and primary liaison between all project stakeholders across innovation workstreams. Developing and maintaining comprehensive project plans, workstreams, schedules, and workback plans.
• Product Ownership - Owning the product vision and roadmap for internal innovation tools and pilot products. Defining and prioritizing backlogs, writes user stories and acceptance criteria, and ensures the team is always working on the highest-value next item.
• Innovation and Emerging Technology - Identifying and evaluating emerging technologies for adoption potential or disruption opportunity, producing credible recommendations the organization can act on.
• People Leadership - Setting clear goals, priorities, and performance expectations for the team aligned to innovation delivery outcomes. Allocating and managing team capacity across active pilots, tech adoption workstreams, and ongoing initiatives.

We're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field is required. A Master's degree or MBA is an advantage. With minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, product management, or a related delivery role, with a proven track record of managing the full lifecycle of medium- to large-scale technology initiatives.
• At least 2 years in a people management or formal team lead role with direct reports, demonstrating the ability to develop talent and sustain delivery through a small team. At least 3 years in a senior PM, PO, or delivery leadership capacity with demonstrated end-to-end ownership of technology products or platforms.
• SDLC Fluency: Solid, hands-on knowledge of modern Software Development Life Cycles (SDLC), with experience managing projects within Agile, Scrum, SAFe, or Hybrid frameworks.
• Technical Acumen: Sufficient technical expertise to facilitate credible discussions with software development, data science, and platform teams, understand technical dependencies, and identify delivery risks.
• AI & Emerging Technology: Working knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), GenAI, and Large Language Models (LLMs) is required - not optional. Must be able to evaluate tools, scope pilots, and guide the team on AI-adjacent initiatives. Familiarity with AI governance and responsible AI practices is expected.
• Automation & Analytics: Familiarity with automation and RPA frameworks as applied to product and process innovation. Basic data analytics capability (e.g. Power BI or equivalent) to track delivery and innovation metrics.
• Risk Management: Formal experience in identifying, documenting, and mitigating project risks, particularly in the domains of information security, cybersecurity, and data privacy as they apply to fintech product delivery.
• Certifications (preferred, not required): PMP (Project Management Professional) or PMI-ACP; CSM (Certified Scrum Master), PSM I, or CSPO (Certified Scrum Product Owner); SAFe certification (SA, POPM, or equivalent). Any recognized AI/ML or cloud platform certification is an advantage.
