Job summary

Vistra is seeking a Senior Manager, Fund Accounting (Private Equity) for its Singapore office. You will lead a Fund Operations team, manage day-to-day operational matters, and drive client retention and reporting in a dynamic PE fund setting.

You will review financial statements, NAVs, and funding documents, while coordinating with other teams. Strong IFRS/US GAAP knowledge and Investran experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with fund documents and reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Act as day-to-day lead for operational matters and critical issues.
• Develop client retention and growth strategies to improve NPS.
• Handle sensitive or escalated queries from clients/investors.
• Review financial statements, management accounts and accounting packages.
• Draft wording for IFRS/US GAAP disclosures.
• Review Capital Accounts and NAVs.
• Explain fund documents to team members.
• Review capital calls and distributions; coordinate investor reporting.
• Lead Fund Operations team; set objectives and monitor performance.
• Oversee revenue scope and ensure financial viability of the department.
• Assist in annual budget exercise.
• Oversee onboarding and collaboration with other teams to ensure smooth operations.

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Fund Solutions team as Senior Manager, Fund Accounting (Private Equity).

Key responsibilities:

• Main point of contact on a day-to-day basis for operational matters and critical issues that need to be addressed before work gets disseminated to the other team members


• Develop and manage client retention and/or growth strategies to ensure NPS (Net Promoter Score) from clients is met.


• Handle any sensitive or escalated queries/concerns from Clients, Investors.


• Reviewing financial statements, management accounts, and accounting packages


• Proficient in drafting wordings for disclosure wordings for IFRS/US GAAP accounting conventions


• Reviewing Capital Account Statements and Net Asset Values


• Reading/understanding Fund documents like Subscription documents, partnership agreements, and shareholder agreements for existing/new clients and explaining the key terms to team members


• Reviewing capital call and distribution notices


• Preparing/Reviewing waterfall and equalization workings


• Coordinating and dealing with Fund investors on meeting investors’ specific reporting requirements


• Reviewing investor requests.


• Working closely with other teams (i.e., Client Onboarding, Cash Management, Investor Services, and Corporate Secretarial) to ensure overall operations are running smoothly.


• Being involved in all aspects of new client onboarding, including dealing with lawyers, understanding legal documents, and supervising the data migration process forthe existing Fund take on


• Undertake general administration and other special projects as assigned by the Director/MD

Team Leadership:

• Lead and motivate Fund Operation team


• Set clear objectives for the team and ensure motivation and performance standards are met.


• Support team with training and guide individual performance and development through regular catch-up and ongoing coaching, regular performance discussions, career coaching and development as requested, annual performance reviews following company standards

Financial Management:

• Review the scope of service and align revenue in meeting the company’s targets.


• Monitor the production of invoices and the collection of debts to ensure the financial viability of the department.


• Assist in the annual budget exercise.

Key requirements:

• Degree in Accountancy (CPA/ACCA/ACA) or Finance or equivalent


• More than 8 years of accounting/auditing experience, with at least 4 years in the Private Equity / Real Estate Fund industry


• Minimum 3 years of people management experience


• Sound knowledge of Singapore FRS/IFRS and US GAAP.


• Solid understanding of operational functions, including Fund Structures, Fund Accounting, Equalisations, Calls/Distributions, and Waterfall models.


• Effective client relations, teamworking, and management skills.


• Familiarity with Investran accounting system and experience in process improvement will be viewed favourably.
