Job summary

Tech Mahindra Philippines is hiring a Senior Manager – Data Analytics to build advanced analytics models and guide data-driven decisions. Location is Ortigas, Pasig with hybrid shift arrangements.

You will lead statistical modeling, experiments, and dashboards to optimize margins and manage risk. Applicants should have a PhD/MS or equivalent in a relevant field, 8–15 years of experience, and strong skills in R, Python, SQL, and BI tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from a Tier 1 university or college in Computer Science, Statistics, Information Technology, Electronics and Communications Engineering (ECE), or a related field.
• Master’s Degree (MS) or Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Economics, or an equivalent discipline.
• 8 to 15 years of relevant work experience in data analytics, statistical modeling, or related fields.
• Hands-on experience with statistical and machine learning techniques such as Regression, Decision Trees, CART, Random Forest, Boosting, Evolutionary Programming, Neural Networks, Fuzzy Systems, Bayesian Belief Networks, Support Vector Machines, Ensemble Methods, Association Rules, Singular Value Decomposition (SVD), Principal Component Analysis (PCA), and Cluster Analysis.

Responsibilities

• Build statistical models and heuristics to predict, optimize, and guide various aspects of the business using available data.
• Design, implement, and refine statistical experiments to maximize site margins while minimizing business risk.
• Extract, process, and analyze data to develop advanced analytics models and actionable business insights.
• Conduct business due diligence activities to identify analytics-driven opportunities for business transformation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to provide data-driven recommendations and strategic solutions.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and visualizations to support exploratory data analysis and business decision-making.
• Manage analytics projects and ensure timely delivery of high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
• Serve as a consultant to internal and external stakeholders by translating complex data into actionable business strategies.
• Travel on a short-term or long-term basis as required by business needs.

Your Day-to-Day

What We’re Looking For

• Hands-on experience with statistical and machine learning techniques such as Regression, Decision Trees, CART, Random Forest, Boosting, Evolutionary Programming, Neural Networks, Fuzzy Systems, Bayesian Belief Networks, Support Vector Machines, Ensemble Methods, Association Rules, Singular Value Decomposition (SVD), Principal Component Analysis (PCA), and Cluster Analysis.
• Experience in applications such as Collaborative Filtering, Personalization, Consumer Segmentation, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Text Analytics, Information Retrieval, and Search Relevance.
• Familiarity with time-series analysis, including modeling approaches and testing methodologies.
• Strong data management and statistical modeling skills using R, Python (SciPy, NumPy), SQL, and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience working with Big Data technologies. Knowledge of distributed computing frameworks such as MapReduce is a plus, particularly Hadoop, Mahout, Pig, and Hive.
• Strong exploratory data analysis capabilities, preferably utilizing Power BI or similar data visualization tools.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and conceptual thinking skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong project management capabilities.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a consulting capacity with diverse stakeholders.
