Job summary

Cathay United Bank in Makati seeks an experienced Loan Operations professional to oversee day-to-day loan and trade transactions and ensure accuracy against documents. You will monitor regulatory compliance and supervise internal banking systems to maintain high control standards.

The role requires 5–8 years in trade finance or banking operations, with strong attention to detail and proficiency in core banking tools including SWIFT/IFX. Excellent analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Banking, Economics or related field.
• 5-8 years of experience in trade finance, loan operations, deposits/remittance or related banking operations.

Responsibilities

• Approve day-to-day loan and trade transactions (facility setup/extensions, drawdowns, rollovers, interest payments).
• Check accuracy of loan details against documents and authorized signatories.
• Review Credit Line Agreement and Credit Memorandum proposed by Corporate Banking.
• Monitor loan availment, renewal, and extension against policies and regulatory requirements.
• Review Outstanding Loan Report and Loan Facility Maturity Report.
• Check DST and EIR computations for drawdowns and rollovers.
• Approve debit/credit transactions in IFX modules.
• Ensure end-of-day balances for all Loan-GL accounts are correct at the branch.
• Supervise UAT of internal/external bank systems.
• Prepare gap analyses for Compliance.
• Review CTR file before AML Officer submission.
• Review and dispose Actimize alerts (AML/KYC/SAM/HRC).
• Supervise CTR and PCHC reviews within operations.
• Verify daily transactions in Front Desk and uphold clean desk policy.
• Verify genuineness of authorized signatures on documents.
• Check account openings/E-banking for Corporate/Individual/Financial Institutions; end-of-day GL balances.
• Process Actimize alerts for onboarding/periodic reviews.
