Job summary

Alsons/AWS Information Systems Inc. is seeking a seasoned Linux SRE to join our SRE team of experts. You will support a multi-OS environment, emphasize automation, and help optimize large-scale infrastructure with cross-functional collaboration.

Candidates should have 5+ years of Linux experience, IaC familiarity, and strong scripting skills. The role may involve 24x7 on-call readiness and occasional remote support to ensure system reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical field.
• Business level English and business level Japanese is nice to have.
• Minimum 5 years of experience supporting Linux systems.
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code concepts.
• Proactive approach to spotting problems, areas for improvement, and performance bottlenecks.
• Experience with Git, Ansible, and Puppet, or similar orchestration and version control tools.
• Competency to learn to support Unix-like Linux systems quickly.
• Good foundation and knowledge of Linux Network Internals.
• Experience with Identity Management (FreeIPA, AD, etc.).
• Willingness for occasional 24x7 support including holiday/weekends/night onsite or remote support if required.
• Experience with Bash, Python, or Ruby scripting.
• Desire to document processes to avoid repetition.
• Experience with container infrastructures (Docker).
• OpenStack or similar Private Cloud experience is nice to have.
