Job summary

London Stock Exchange Group in Taguig, Philippines, seeks a Senior Linux DevOps Engineer to join our capital markets data platform. You will drive high-performance data capture, storage and transformation and help design scalable growth for the data pipeline.

The role emphasizes operational responsibilities, automation with Ansible, containerized deployments using Docker/Podman, and occasional US Eastern hours during training. Experience with AWS, GitLab/GitHub and networking basics is required.

Qualifications

  • 5 to 7+ years of professional experience with Linux, preferably RHEL or RHEL derived distributions (CentOS, Rocky Linux, AlmaLinux)
  • 5+ years of experience with scripting languages Bash and/or Python
  • Significant experience using Ansible to develop and maintain playbooks and roles to automate server provisioning and configuration management
  • Proficiency with Linux and an understanding of Linux server architecture and operation including performance and latency tuning
  • Experience designing, deploying, and managing containerized applications using Docker, Podman or other containerization technology in production environments
  • Should be very comfortable with data copying, scheduling tasks and Linux daemons
  • Extensive experience with application deployments and OS updates, including risk assessment and mitigation strategies for potential failures
  • Experience with Git-based version control systems, such as GitLab and/or GitHub and managing pipeline in these products
  • Basic networking knowledge and ability to interpret Wireshark/tcpdump capture output
  • Experience with AWS, S3, AWS CLI, and Rsync
  • English proficiency is required
  • Must be willing to work US Eastern hours for the first 6 months during initial training
  • Must be willing to work on some weekends when needed for deployments
  • Nice to haves, but not required Knowledge of US and International market data Experience working with multicast-based market data distribution Career Stage: Senior Associate

  • Perform OS updates and risk assessments for deployments and ensure reliability
  • Support deployments with basic networking analysis using Wireshark/tcpdump and monitor performance and latency

Senior Linux DevOps Engineer

Current strategic pursuits The Senior Linux DevOps Engineer will be responsible for high-performance data capture systems. We have the mission of "Capturing, Storing and Transforming" the world's capital markets data. In this critical role, you’ll be an integral member of a team managing the data pipeline that flows between each of those stages. The role has a large operational component while also requiring someone to envision future growth in both utilization and technology selection for the components of work.

Work qualifications
