iScale Solutions in the Philippines is seeking a Senior/Lead DevOps Engineer to drive reliability, scalability, and efficiency across production and development environments. You will lead major infra and automation projects, advance CI/CD, and promote IaC practices while guiding engineering teams.

The role requires 7+ years in SRE/DevOps, hands-on container orchestration (Kubernetes/EKS/ECS), strong scripting (Python/Go), and expertise in AWS, monitoring, and security best practices.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in SRE/DevOps, TechOps, or similar roles.
• 5+ years leading technical projects or teams.
• 3+ years container orchestration with Kubernetes/EKS/ECS.
• Proficient in Python or Go and shell scripting.
• Experience with AWS production environments.
• Experience with monitoring/observability tools.
• Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet).
• Knowledge of secrets management and cloud security basics.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across infra and automation projects.

• Lead containerization efforts and champion Infrastructure as Code.

As aSenior/Lead DevOps Engineer, you will drive initiatives that enhance the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of both production and development environments. You will lead major infrastructure and automation projects, improve tools and processes, and ensure the seamless deployment, monitoring, and operation of critical applications. This role includes guiding CI/CD strategy, advancing infrastructure-as-code practices, and providing operational leadership across engineering teams.

Requirements

• 7+ yearsof experience in SRE, DevOps, TechOps, or similar roles.
  
• 5+ yearsof experience leading technical projects or contributing as a technical lead.
  
• 3+ yearsworking with containers and orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes, EKS, ECS).
  
• Strong proficiency in shell scripting and at least one programming language such asPythonorGo.
  
• Demonstrated ability to define project scope, requirements, and delivery milestones.
  
• Experience leading or collaborating withcross-functional engineering teams.
  
• Solid experience operating and optimizingAWS production environments.
  
• Strong knowledge ofmonitoring and observabilitytechnologies (e.g., OTEL, Prometheus, Grafana).
  
• Experience with at least two configuration or IaC tools, such asPuppet,Salt,Ansible, orTerraform.
  
• Experience implementing or managing secrets management tools (e.g. Vault, AWS Secrets Manger)
  
• Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and vulnerability
