About the role

We are seeking a talented DevOps / SRE Engineer to join our growing team at CAREERNEXT MANPOWER AGENCY CORP. PHILIPPINES. This is a full-time position based in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City, Metro Manila. As a DevOps / SRE Engineer, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between software development and operations, ensuring our systems are reliable, scalable, and performant. You will be responsible for automating infrastructure, managing deployments, and maintaining system reliability whilst supporting our development teams in delivering high-quality software solutions. This position is fundamental to our organisation's operational excellence and digital transformation objectives.

What you'll be doing

• Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions to automate system provisioning and configuration management

• Develop and manage continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline software release processes

• Monitor system performance, availability, and security whilst establishing and maintaining key service level indicators (SLIs) and service level objectives (SLOs)

• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, implementing preventative measures to reduce mean time to recovery (MTTR)

• Collaborate with development teams to optimise application performance, scalability, and reliability

• Implement and manage containerisation solutions using Docker and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes

• Establish and maintain comprehensive logging, monitoring, and alerting systems across the infrastructure

• Conduct capacity planning and resource optimisation to ensure cost-effective infrastructure utilisation

• Automate routine operational tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual errors

• Participate in on-call rotations to provide timely support for critical system issues

What we're looking for

• 3+ years of professional experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or a similar role within the software development industry

• Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language such as Python, Bash, Go, or Java

• Hands-on experience with containerisation technologies, particularly Docker and Kubernetes

• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

• Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar platforms

• Solid understanding of infrastructure as code concepts and experience with tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Cloudformation

• Proficiency in Linux/Unix system administration and networking fundamentals

• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, ELK Stack, DataDog, or New Relic

• Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail in a fast‑paced environment

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams

• Knowledge of security best practices and experience implementing security measures in infrastructure

• Preferred: Experience with microservices architecture, serverless computing, or incident management methodologies

• Preferred: Relevant certifications such as Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or similar qualifications
