Job summary

TerraBarn Inc is seeking a senior backend developer in the Philippines with 5+ years of professional experience in backend/full-stack development. The role requires expert-level Java (17/21) knowledge, extensive Spring Boot capabilities (Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA/Hibernate, Spring Security, REST API development) and solid microservices experience.

Deep understanding of architecture, design patterns, and SQL databases is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional backend/full-stack development experience.
• Expert-level Java (17/21) with modern features, concurrency, streams and JVM fundamentals.
• Hands-on Spring Boot experience: Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA/Hibernate, Spring Security, REST API development.
• Experience designing, deploying and maintaining distributed microservices with service-to-service communication, resilience, observability and scalability.
• Solid knowledge of SOLID principles, design patterns, domain-driven design, layered/hexagonal architecture, distributed systems and scalability.
• Strong SQL/relational database expertise including schema design, complex queries, indexing, query optimization, performance tuning, transactions and concurrency (Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server or similar)
