Job summary

Rising Tide Digital, Inc. in the Philippines seeks an experienced Java backend developer to design and build scalable microservices using Spring Boot and REST APIs.

You will work with databases like Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and DB2, implement security with JWT/OAuth 2.0, and participate in CI/CD with Azure DevOps, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Strong unit testing (JUnit/TestNG) and collaboration with QA, DevOps, and business teams are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in Java development.
• Strong knowledge of Java 8+ and Spring Boot.
• Experience with microservices and REST APIs.
• Knowledge of Hibernate/JPA, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with RabbitMQ.
• JWT and OAuth 2.0 knowledge.
• Experience with JUnit/TestNG or similar testing tools.
• Azure DevOps and CI/CD experience.
• Knowledge of AWS or OCI.
• Experience with Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or DB2.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend applications using Java 8 or higher.
• Develop applications using Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA, and Spring Cloud.
• Build and maintain microservices and REST APIs.
• Work with databases such as Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and DB2.
• Use Hibernate/JPA for database integration.
• Work with RabbitMQ for messaging.
• Implement application security using JWT and OAuth 2.0.
• Write and maintain unit tests using JUnit, TestNG, or similar tools.
• Use Docker and Kubernetes for application deployment.
• Support CI/CD processes using Azure DevOps.
• Work with cloud platforms such as AWS or OCI.
• Troubleshoot and fix application issues.
• Work closely with other developers, QA, DevOps, and business teams.
