Job summary

ING Hubs Türkiye is seeking a Senior Java Engineer to join the Open Banking & XS2A domain. You will design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable payment solutions and APIs, while contributing to architecture discussions and technical leadership in an Agile environment.

You will collaborate across international teams within ING, deliver reliable services, and mentor peers as part of a culture that emphasizes ownership, innovation, and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• 5+ years backend engineering with Java in a distributed environment.
• Strong Spring Boot and microservices experience.
• Experience building secure REST APIs and databases (SQL/NoSQL).
• Hands‑on with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and observability.
• Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, and software architecture best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain high‑quality backend applications and APIs
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Contribute to software architecture and technical design decisions
• Work with ING frameworks, tools, standards, and engineering best practices
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated testing solutions
• Monitor application performance and implement observability practices
• Mentor team members and share knowledge for continuous improvement
