Job summary

CI&T in Manila is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to lead technical delivery in a cross-functional team. You will own complex Java-based solutions, guide design decisions, and mentor peers to uphold code quality and robust testing.

You will maintain legacy applications, optimize large MySQL datasets, and drive CI/CD practices while collaborating with stakeholders to align with business goals and ensuring high availability across services.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in Java enterprise development (Java 8 or higher) including J2EE technologies such as Servlets and JSP.
• Strong MySQL expertise including complex query optimization, stored procedures, and large databases (100M+ records).
• Proficiency in web technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS) and MVC patterns.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD, Git, Maven, and production environments.
• Solid understanding of AWS services (S3, RDS, ECS), SOAP/REST web services, and data integration patterns (ETL, SFTP).

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, troubleshooting, testing, and deployment of complex features in large-scale codebases.
• Maintain, refactor, and modernize Java/J2EE applications while managing technical debt.
• Provide production support by leading incident response and root cause analysis for high-availability systems.
• Establish and enforce coding standards, conduct code reviews, and drive testing and monitoring strategies.
• Communicate technical concepts and incident updates effectively to stakeholders.
