Job summary

Maya is building the in-house Core Banking System within the CBS Mesh, part of a Savings and Deposits platform. This Senior Software Engineer will drive backend development, microservices, and platform modernization to align legacy services with the new architecture.

You will work across multiple squads, mentoring engineers and shaping technical direction while leveraging AI-assisted tools for efficient design, coding, and testing, ensuring robust, scalable production code.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering, backend focus.
• Strong Java and OOP fundamentals with design patterns.
• Experience guiding junior engineers through code reviews and mentorship.
• Hands-on with server-side frameworks and cloud infra.

Responsibilities

• Design and build microservices across the platform tiers.
• Collaborate with cross-team surface (ledger, in-house, accounts).
• Contribute to architecture decisions in a multi-squad 24-month program.
• Use AI-assisted development tools for design exploration and generation, while ensuring correctness.
