Job summary

Private Advertiser in Taguig City is seeking a Senior Application Support Engineer to provide advanced technical and application support, with a focus on Java and AWS.

The role requires diagnosing complex issues, supporting cloud-based systems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure reliability, timely deployments, and continuous improvement of support processes. Onsite work with standard business hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of experience in technical support, application support, or software engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, or similar backend technologies.
• Experience troubleshooting software, system, and integration issues.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, microservices, and enterprise applications.
• Experience working with cloud environments, preferably AWS.
• Familiarity with ticketing tools such as Jira, Odoo, ServiceNow, or similar platforms.
• Experience working in Agile environments.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex application, system, and integration issues.
• Manage and follow through on support tickets, escalating complex concerns when necessary.
• Implement minor bug fixes and feature enhancements using Java, Spring Boot, or similar backend frameworks.
• Participate in code reviews, QA testing, and release verification activities.
• Monitor cloud-based applications and infrastructure, preferably within AWS environments.
• Support deployments and help ensure application uptime and system reliability.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation, user guides, and internal knowledge base articles.
• Work with cross-functional teams to analyze issues and implement effective solutions.
• Support initiatives involving automation and AI-enabled enhancements to improve support efficiency.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of support processes, tools, and technical solutions.
• Handle sensitive organizational data responsibly and maintain professional integrity.
