Job summary

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Manila is seeking a Senior Internal Control Officer to safeguard the integrity of our operations. You will independently assess control designs, test effectiveness and report findings to senior management, ensuring compliance with internal policies and international standards.

The role requires 6–9 years in internal or external audit, strong Excel skills and experience with ERP systems.

Qualifications

• University degree in accountancy or business-related field
• CPA/CFE/CIA/CISA/CRMA or equivalent is an asset
• Experience in internal or external audit is an asset
• Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Excel
• Fluent command of written and spoken English
• Working knowledge of additional languages is an asset

Responsibilities

• Conducts preliminary risk assessment of the assigned processes and delegations
• Designs a risk-based sampling methodology
• Performs remote or onsite reviews
• Presents findings to management and control owners
• Provides recommendations to improve processes and controls
• Tracks implementation and validates completion of actions
• Escalates unresolved or significant findings
• May be deployed to field or Headquarters for support
