The Internal Controller role at the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) sits within the Ethics, Risk, and Compliance Office (ERCO) and reports to the Internal Control Compliance Manager. The position covers multiple functions across the organization, emphasizing risk-based controls, auditing, and compliance testing on a global scale.

Ideal candidates hold a degree in accountancy, professional certifications (CA/CPA/ACCA/CIA/CISA), and strong English with French as a plus; experience

Qualifications

• University degree in accountancy or business-related field.
• Certification by international accounting bodies is an asset.
• Proficient IT skills; knowledge of CAATs such as IDEA is advantageous.
• Fluent written and spoken English; knowledge of French is a plus.
• Additional languages are an asset.

Responsabilités

• Lead internal control reviews and risk-based audits across functions.
• Perform targeted site visits and testing of controls with evidence gathering.
• Prepare audit findings and management reports with actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate with Internal Audit, Risk and Assurance Units and the Global Compliance Office.
