Qualifications

• Proven experience in enterprise API integration.
• Experience authoring API specifications using RAML or OpenAPI.
• Strong background in REST APIs and third-party service integration.
• Programming/scripting in Python, Java, or C#; Unix/Linux a plus.
• Experience with API security and governance (OAuth, TLS/SSL).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Experience with Agile/Scrum and cross-functional teams.
• Strong writing and verbal communication skills.

• Prepare functional and test data; monitor and support testing activities including API performance and code optimization.
• Integrate 3rd party services through APIs using standard integration methodology and tools.

About the Role

We are currently hiring on behalf of a large retail group with an established presence in the region, supporting enterprise systems, API integrations, and digital operations across their business. The organization works with international teams to deliver reliable, scalable integration solutions in a fast-paced retail environment.

This role focuses on API and system integration, supporting the design, development, and maintenance of integrations connecting third-party services with enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare functional and test data; monitor and support testing activities including API performance and code optimization

Integrate 3rd party services through APIs using standard integration methodology and tools

Resolve design and framework integration issues to meet technical requirements aligned with business processes

Define and drive integration strategies with principal and lead architects

Build and maintain API specifications and documentation

Perform and verify integration point testing for support and project work

Investigate issues and provide root cause analysis

Build automated system performance monitoring and generate reports on recurring issues

Participate in knowledge transfer and transition activities

Hybrid work setup (2–3 days onsite)

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, following Philippine holidays

Job Requirements

Proven experience in enterprise API integration, with hands-on work across API management platforms (e.g. Apigee, MuleSoft, Layer7, Azure API Management, or similar)

Experience authoring API specifications using RAML or OpenAPI

Strong background in REST APIs, third-party service integration, and integration methodology

Programming and scripting proficiency (e.g. Python, Java, C#, or similar) with Unix/Linux experience an advantage

Experience with API security and governance practices (OAuth, TLS/SSL, rate limiting) is an advantage

Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is an advantage

Experience working under Agile/Scrum methodology with lead architects and cross-functional teams

Strong analytical, documentation, and root cause analysis skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical teams
