Senior Integration Engineer

Full time

Synapsewerx is growing our Azure Integration Services practice in response to an increasing demand in the regional market. As such, we are interested in hearing from Integration Engineers / Developers / Consultants who can play a key role in designing, building and delivering AIS solutions to our enterprise clients via our Centre of Excellence in Manila.

AIS expertise is desirable for this role but more important is a strong software development background, coupled with integration solution design best practices and an appreciation of CI/CD, DevOps, Governance and Security. Full AIS training and certification will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the design and development of modern integration solutions using Azure Integration Services.
• Help our enterprise clients implement or migrate from legacy integration platforms to the Microsoft Azure platform.
• Establish integration patterns, frameworks, and best practices across API design, messaging, orchestration, automation, DevOps and governance.
• Build cloud-native solutions using Logic Apps, Functions, APIM, Service Bus, and event-driven architectures.
• Drive engineering excellence through CI/CD, secure coding, observability, automated testing, and reusability.
• Introduce improvements that enhance developer experience, reliability, and performance.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and product teams to design domain APIs and integration models.

Key Skills & Attributes

• Strong software engineering foundation (SDLC, secure coding, automation, CI/CD).
• Proactive “can-do” mindset with strong problem-solving capability, takes ownership, brings ideas, and drives solutions forward
• Experience (but not essential) with Azure Integration Services (Logic Apps, Functions, APIM, Service Bus, Event Hub, Durable Functions).
• Strong understanding of integration patterns, API-led design, messaging, and event-driven architectures.
• Solid understanding of security principles, zero-trust, identity, and modern authentication (OAuth2, JWT, mTLS).
• Ability to simplify complexity and collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Experience migrating from Oracle SOA, ESB, Tibco, webMethods or other legacy integration platforms.
• Experience with the Azure Integration Platform.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps/GitHub, Bicep/Terraform, and IaC.
• Experience in large and complex enterprise ecosystems.
• Strong understanding of integration governance.
• Comfortable with AI coding approach and tools to help accelerate solution design, documentation and build. Practical experience with Agentic coding models and tools such as Claude 3.5 Sonnet/Opus, GPT-4o/GPT-5, Gemini 2.5 Pro, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, VS Code, Replit, CodeWhisperer etc.

Ideal Candidate Profile

A strong candidate will have:

• 3 – 5+ years’ Integration Engineer / Consultant experience in large-scale enterprise organisations.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to operate confidently with senior stakeholders.
• Integration experience gained in MuleSoft, Tibco, webMethods, Boomi etc projects.
• Integration solution design experience, including all integration design patterns, data driven architecture and security principles.
• Experienced at designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines.
• 1+ Years practical hands-on experience with Azure AIS.
• Experience of using AI models / tools to help you code, configure and test integration solutions or applications.
• Some team leadership experience, guiding and mentoring team members for successful outcomes
