Hammerjack Pty Ltd is seeking a Senior Hydropower Expert to lead optimization efforts for hydropower schemes and run-of-river projects. The role requires senior technical leadership across design, analysis, and client interaction.

The candidate will guide multidisciplinary teams, evaluate configurations, and ensure economically viable solutions for complex hydropower developments in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, Hydraulic, Water Resources, or related Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant hydropower experience.
• Proven expertise in scheme optimization and run-of-river design.
• Excellent technical report-writing and communication skills.
• Strong understanding of hydropower planning, engineering, and project development.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical assessment and optimization of hydropower schemes.
• Develop and evaluate run-of-river hydropower concepts and configurations.
• Assess alternative layouts, capacities, operating concepts, and energy-generation options.
• Review hydraulic and hydropower design concepts and technical studies.
• Provide technical guidance to multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Identify opportunities to improve project performance, constructability, and economic viability.
• Review technical reports, calculations, drawings, and design deliverables.
• Support feasibility studies and project option assessments.
• Provide expert advice to clients and project stakeholders.
