Job summary

Anonymous seeks a Senior Hydropower Expert to lead the optimization of hydropower schemes and run-of-river project design, delivering efficient, viable, and economically attractive solutions.

You will guide multidisciplinary teams, assess layouts and operating concepts, review design studies, and support feasibility analyses for client proposals and project decisions. Excellent report writing and communication skills are required to present complex results clearly.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of hydropower experience.
• Expertise in run-of-river scheme optimization and design.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, Hydraulic, Water Resources, or related Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical assessment and optimization of hydropower schemes.
• Develop and evaluate run-of-river hydropower concepts and configurations.
• Assess alternative layouts, capacities, operating concepts, and energy-generation options.
• Review hydraulic and hydropower design concepts and technical studies.
• Provide technical guidance to multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Identify opportunities to improve project performance, constructability, and economic viability.
• Review technical reports, calculations, drawings, and design deliverables.
• Support feasibility studies and project option assessments.
• Provide expert advice to clients and project stakeholders.
